This role is critical in ensuring that offices and families continue to receive accurate answers in a timely manner. Dr. Podduturi is licensed in multiple states, including Texas, California, and Washington and has provided part-time services to over twelve different jurisdictions.

Dr. Varsha Podduturi

Dr. Podduturi earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. She completed a four year residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and one year of subspecialty training in Forensic Pathology at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas, Texas. She has over nine years of experience conducting autopsies and has performed over 3,000 postmortem examinations.

  • Licensed physician and board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
  • Published over twenty manuscripts in multiple peer-reviewed science journals and presented at numerous local, regional, and national conferences.
  • Extensive experience teaching medical students, residents, pathology assistant students, law enforcement, and postgraduate fellows.
  • Volunteer affiliate professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine (Bryan, Texas) and the Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, Texas).
  • Fellow of the National Association of Medical Examiners, a member of the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners, and a fellow of the College of American Pathologists.
